Long-term Substitute Special Education Teacher (august-december)

This long-term substitute position starts August, 2024 and ends approximately December 2024 DUTIES: •Teaching students with communication disabilities, and supporting their inclusion in typical classrooms and school activities •Documenting student progress in all areas of curriculum, including academic and social/communication goals •Supervising paraprofessionals, and ensuring their follow-through with the program •Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide a comprehensive, inclusive and appropriate program. Support access to the general curriculum •Writing IEPs and progress reports, and manage all aspects of special education compliance for assigned student caseload
