Physical Education Teacher

DUTIES: - Plan a physical education program, using state standards and best practice as a reference - Teach a wide range of physical activities to young people of mixed abilities - Encourage all students to participate; help students set goals for themselves individually or as a class in health and fitness - Make accommodations for students who need to participate and feel a sense of accomplishment (IEP and 504 plans) - Serve as an example for physical and social skill development, providing instruction, demonstrations, and modeling fairness and support for all students, regardless of size or ability - Monitor students and assess individual and class progress SALARY:As per GEA contract for certified teachers
