System One is currently hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic in Tampa, FL.

Job Duties:

  • Reads job repair orders and performs the diagnosis of routine maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance inspections, and troubleshooting of systems (i.e. hydraulic, electronic, mechanical, A/C).
  • Building maintenance duties as assigned (including electrical)
  • Plan work procedures to repair vehicles.
  • Installs new ignition systems, changes or recharges batteries, replaces transmissions or related parts, and overhauls gas and diesel engines.
  • Examines protective guards and makes adjustments to safety devices on trucks.
  • Lubricates moving parts and drives
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections per Company standards
  • Focus on customer service and adherence to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintains conveyors including inspections
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on various types of equipment/vehicles
  • Perform preventative maintenance in fleet
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices
  • Detect malfunctions through observation
  • Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality
  • Repair broken or faulty machine parts
  • Perform facility and building repairs
  • Perform emergency repairs
  • Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs
  • Align and calibrate machine parts
  • Monitor and report on project progress
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years of mechanical experience on light and heavy equipment or facility maintenance
  • Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial environment
  • Great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics
  • Familiarity using various power and hand tools
  • Experience repairing plant and facility equipment
  • Gasoline & diesel vehicle experience preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Operational knowledge of diesel equipment and tools associated with troubleshooting and repair of equipment
  • Medium duty truck experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic and dependable character
  • Must possess valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Company standards
  • Have a steady employment history
  • Successful completion of company background check and drug screen upon job offer.
  • Ability to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) as issued by Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
  • ASE Certifications are a plus
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift
  • Position is generally assigned a daytime schedule but will be required to work extended hours to include nights and weekends.
