Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; Acquire within the first year of hire a black seal license, additional licenses may be required; Pass a physical examination in accordance with statute and Board policy; District and NJDOE requirements. Possess appropriate Freon/Refrigerant certification; and qualify to apply for Qualified Journeyman Electrician License; Ability to read blueprints and schematics; Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry; preferred but not required Qualified Journeyman Electrical License.

Scope of Responsibility: Performs maintenance and grounds duties in order to maintain the district's buildings, grounds, machinery, equipment, and furnishings in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness, and safety so that maximum effectiveness and efficiency may be realized for educational, recreational, and community use.

Employment Conditions

Contract Year:

Days: July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday

Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Salary: ~ $40,000 to $50,000 annually based on experience

Vacations: As per negotiated contract

Holiday: As per negotiated contract

Evaluation: In accordance with Board policy and NJ law
