Job Description

Position Summary

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Process Engineer to strengthen our coil coating manufacturing plant. As a maintenance process engineer, your core responsibility will be to enhance the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and provide strategic planning for maintenance operations. Elevate equipment reliability, streamline processes, and optimize resource allocation to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

CMMS Management:
  • Administered and maintained the CMMS database, ensuring accurate asset information, equipment hierarchy, preventive maintenance schedules, and work order management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement system enhancements, upgrades, and customization to meet evolving business needs.
  • Provide training and technical support to maintenance personnel on CMMS functionality, ensuring proper system utilization.

Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:
  • Work closely with maintenance managers, supervisors, and technicians to develop detailed maintenance plans, schedules, and resource allocation for routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
  • Analyze historical data, equipment performance metrics, and maintenance records to identify trends, optimize maintenance strategies, and improve equipment reliability.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of required spare parts, tools, and materials for planned maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to plan and execute maintenance activities during scheduled downtime or production slowdown periods.
  • Prioritize maintenance tasks based on criticality, equipment availability, and production requirements to minimize downtime and maximize equipment utilization.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of maintenance processes, procedures, and work instructions to identify areas for improvement and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles and best practices to optimize maintenance strategies, reduce breakdowns, and increase equipment uptime.
  • Participate in root cause analysis investigations for equipment failures and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and project teams to incorporate maintainability considerations into new equipment designs and installations.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Generate reports and performance metrics related to maintenance planning, scheduling, work order completion, equipment reliability, and maintenance costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and maintenance-related documentation for compliance and future reference.
  • Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in all maintenance planning and execution activities.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working with CMMS platforms, such as Maximo, SAP PM, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in analyzing maintenance data and generating meaningful reports and metrics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with aluminum coil coating or similar manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
