Duties
  • You will provide data analysis as well as national management support.
  • You will work with Leadership to ensure methodologies are approved, transparent and defensible.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.

Time in grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. (e.g. one year at the GS-12 grade level for consideration for the GS-13 grade level).

Specialized Experience:

GS-13

To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. This experience must include performing functional interrelated assignments, providing advice and assistance to upper management on subjects that affect agency programs, and utilizing oral and written communication to develop and refine agencies directives and policies and procedures and presenting findings. My knowledge, skills, and abilities are reflected in performing the following dutes: 1. Utilizing quantitative and qualitative methods to advise of program managers, division directors, deputy chiefs, etc. on assigned program regulations and requirements; 2. Prepare and provide economic analyses and data by conducting cost benfit and economic analysis of natural resources; 3. Maintaing effective relationships and utilizing problem solving, team building, and managment skills to collabrate with various agencies, national organizations, etc.; 4. Provide assistance with budget development, formulation, presentation and execution; and 5. Assist with business and strategeic planning processes, ensuring the cooperation and acceptance of new ideas and programs; 6. Utilizing analytical techniques to evaluate programs efficiency and effectiveness.

GS-12

To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. This experience must include performing functional interrelated assignments, providing advice and assistance to upper management on subjects that affect agency programs, and utilizing oral and written communication to assist with developing and refining agencies directives and policies and procedures and presenting findings. My knowledge, skills, and abilities are reflected in performing the following dutes: 1. Assist with the advisement of program managers, division directors, deputy chiefs, etc. on assigned program regulations and requirements; 2. Prepare and provide economic analyses and data by conducting cost benfit and economic analysis of natural resources; 3. Provide assistance with budget development, formulation, presentation and execution; and 4. Utilizing analytical techniques to evaluate programs efficiency and effectiveness.

Note: There is no education substitution for the GS-12/13 level.
