General Statement of Duties

Performs Quality Assurance duties assisting the agency meet regulatory and accreditation requirements. Maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders (individuals served, families, program and administrative staff, other County agencies, DMAS, DBHDS, CARF). Maintains knowledge of rules, regulations and accreditation standards that apply to the agency. C ollects and analyzes data for monitoring and compliance and for reporting; does related work as required.

Essential Duties

This position is a member of the Quality Assurance Division and assists the agency in meeting its regulatory, accreditation and reporting requirements. The position will maintain knowledge of the agency's policies and procedures. Assist with drafting policies and training materials as needed. The position will additionally work with the Community Support Division, participating in their meetings, chart reviews and assisting with regulatory visits. The position will assist with receiving, reporting and analyzing serious incident reports that includes rotating weekend coverage and be part of back up support to receive and investigate human rights allegations. Additionally, participate in various meetings and workgroups. Comply with state mandated directives, QA related performance contracts requirements, County policies and procedures, and other compliance issues .

This position requires demonstrated skills and competencies in excellent written and verbal skills and strong collaboration skills ; creative problem solving and outstanding customer services skills; high energy engagement in agency programs . M ust be mission focused; participate in and contribute to special projects; strong technology expertise , experienced in working in an electronic health record, strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for developmental disability services and demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware and software .

Good knowledge of techniques in planning, management, and data collection, and familiarity with forecasting techniques; ability to systematically compile data and to interpret and report findings; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and governmental representatives; ability to work with a high degree of independence and with a team. Able to organize work to meet deadlines; familiarity with and ability to use a personal computer and Microsoft software

Knowledge of basic techniques in planning and statistical work; ability to develop quantitative and qualitative data-collection instruments; ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, especially in written form; ability to assist with the management of department programs; ability to perform independent research and development activities; ability to interpret budget and activity reports to measure performance against goals and objectives; ability to systematically compile data, interpret and report monitoring and evaluation findings; ability to work effectively with other employees and with the public; leadership skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a bachelor's degree with courses in statistics, report preparation, research and/or planning; OR, a bachelor's degree relevant to the program or service area to which assigned; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Additional Information

A TB test is required; criminal history record check and fingerprinting is conducted on all persons conditionally offered employment, including a conditional offer of initial employment, or a conditional offer to promote, demote, or laterally transfer an employee.

One year of work experience related in quality assurance and/or developmental disabilities services preferred.

Expected salary low-mid range of listed salary scale.
