About the team:
As the Manager of Business Development, you will be focused on managing and leading (BDR'S) Business Development reps. Your responsibility is to guide the Business Development teams as well as Team Lead of Business Development; consistently coaching and developing individual contributors. You'll establish a good working relationship with the outside sales leadership team, keeping them updated weekly on your teams' progress. They will look to you to ensure your team effectively executes the lead qualification process to help increase their chances of engaging a successful sales closure.

About the Role:
Performance Expectations & Responsibilities:
• Being an integral part in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring Business Development Representatives (BDR)
• Manage and provide effective coaching to BDRs
• Evaluating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and addressing areas of concern
• Lead and Support team members and collaborate with internal stakeholders to consistently improve the team and department
• Help to create/maintain a team building environment
• Set clear and transparent goals and hold team members accountable to them
• Spend a minimum of 1.5 hours daily listening to your team's sales calls
• Utilize Sales and Marketing Automation tools to identify target opportunities your team should be focused on
• Design an effective competitive prospecting strategy keeping abreast of all your competition and ensure your team is kept well informed and up to date
• Utilize Salesforce.com and the marketing/sales automation tools to effectively manage expectations and performance
• Hold your team accountable to updating Salesforce.com after each contact in an account regardless of the interaction
• Achieve your team's monthly assigned field quota as well as quarterly goals

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 8+ Years of professional work experience and 3+ years in a successful people leader role
• 4+ years' experience in Recruiting and hiring Business Development Reps

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in Business-to-Business technology company requires (SaaS/Software preferred, background in sales or lead qualification/generation)
• Training and experience using Salesforce.com CRM and other platforms (Outreach, Connect Leader, ZoomInfo, Eloqua a plus)
• Monitor team performance by utilizing reporting and marketing tools to monitor and track metrics
• Lead team to achieve Business Development Reps metrics
• Able to communicate across all levels throughout the organization
• Network with peers across organization to influence decision making and integration on overlapping priorities
• Identifies team members strengths and development opportunities
• Effectively approach challenges and conflicts in a positive manner to drive successful business outcomes
• Effectively weigh all facts and data points to reach fair and equitable decisions.
• Prior experience with CRM software (Salesforce) and MS Excel
• Prior experience in a corporate sales environment
