Responsibilities

Provides insightful and energetic leadership and management of SJPA's multi-specialty clinic practices. Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing clinic operations. Acts as a principal advisor to the Director of Clinic Operations in regards to the business operations of each clinical practice owned and operated by SJPA.

1. Manages SJPA multi-specialty clinic operations.

2. Assists Director of Clinic Operations in developing and implementing clinic strategic long-and short-range plans and its business plan.

3. Works closely with Director of Clinic Operations in forecasting and preparing annual budget and financial statements.

4. Ensures compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, SJHS policies, maintains compliance with governmental regulations and industry requirements.

5. Assist Director of Clinic Operations with staff recruitment, development, and performance evaluation.

6. Researches the computerization of physician offices and how they relate to SJHS (e.g. electronic medical records, professional billing services, digital sharing of radiographic displays and medical images).

7. Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment and high quality patient care.

8. Resolves operational problems and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure high productivity.

9. Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional development to keep current in the latest health care trends and developments.

10. Maintains strict confidentiality.

11. Reviews current status of patient accounts to identify and resolve billing/collection and processing problems in a timely manner.

12. Responsible for concurrent chart reviews of physicians and advanced practitioners to ensure compliance of documentation compared to the level of coding selected.

13. Responsible for developing and implementing appropriate measures to minimize the risk of injuries to patients, visitors, and staff, and to minimize loss or damage to property.

14. Responsible for purchasing of all supplies, equipment, and materials including the review/processing of purchase orders.

15. Supervises all SJPA multi-specialty office and clinical staff.

Qualifications

Education

Required: Associate degree or equivalent

Preferred: Bachelor's degree (e.g. BA, BS, BSN, BSW)

Experience

Required: 2-3 years, must demonstrate current competencies applicable to do the position.

Preferred: 3-5 years, 3 years of health care administrative experience including 1 year in the administration of a major clinic
