POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will lead the management of the marketing strategy and execution for three territories of schools within our Strategic Marketing Solutions program. The position works closely with the Partnerships team, along with other internal departments, to strategize, build, and execute marketing programs, both locally and nationally, that promote the sale of collegiate licensed products. Proactivity, collaboration, and strategic thinking are necessary for this role and the team around it to be successful.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work cooperatively in a team environment to serve the marketing needs of three territories.
  • Lead the brainstorming, idea generation, and plan development of annual strategic marketing plans to meet client goals.
  • Manage two direct reports who will provide assistance in the planning and execution of all marketing programs for the three assigned territories.
  • Build trust from clients by providing strategic and innovative approaches to marketing problems.
  • Deliver and ensure adherence to detailed statements of work for all marketing services rendered for clients.
  • Effectively present marketing plans to internal and external clients, showing an ability to sell-in concepts to key decision-makers.
  • Offer a unique point-of-view to be able to provide necessary critique of strategies, ideas, and creative.
  • Utilize internal project management system to manage projects, ensuring the team stays on time and within budget.
  • Manage and oversee client communication regarding all marketing programs.
  • Develop impactful program recaps that justify the resources used to execute the marketing programs on behalf of clients.
  • Read and understand performance data, using the findings to influence future decisions.
  • Occasional travel (approximately 10%) is necessary for client meetings, industry events, and project execution


SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree required/Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of marketing/brand experience in consumer goods field
  • Solid project management, influencing and communication skills are required
  • Experience with social media, digital marketing, experiential marketing, promotional events and marketing campaigns
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and professionally in writing and via presentations; Effective presentation skills
  • Competency using Microsoft Office/Presentation Platforms (like Canva), and Monday.com a plus
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Self-starter with high degree of personal initiative
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage deadlines & milestones across multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and collaborative entrepreneurial environment
