We are also Joint Commission Acute Heart Attack Ready (AHAR) Disease specific certified

Job Duties

Materials Management:
Manages inventory for appropriateness, manages all purchasing functions, ensuring most appropriate products are always available as needed.
Develops, implements, and maintains current departmental/program policies and procedures that are compliant with all regulatory agencies.
Supplies are stored safely, adequately and in appropriate quantities so as to have them available when needed.
Purchase orders are issued to vendors on a timely basis with contract pricing adequately checked.

Customer service:
Responds to the needs of those in the hospital to ensure that the highest quality of care is available for patients.
Able to discuss and help direct physicians regarding supplies.
Collaborates with all customer groups (staff, physicians, patients, family, external customers) to determine customer expectations.
Responsive to request from Corporate office regarding supplies.
Completes other duties as assigned

Revenue Management:
Pricebook applications completed as needed daily, appropriately and with absolute attention to detail.
Ensures patients are billed appropriately.
Ensures revenue is going to the appropriate cost center.

Human Resources:
Conducts departmental meetings monthly so that information sharing is constant.
Hires and provides coaching as necessary with employees.
Works closely with staff to ensure in-service, educational training or other staff needs are met.
Counsels employees as necessary, documenting and problems or issues.
Assures that annual or other evaluations are completed on time.
Assesses workloads and schedules to ensure the hospitals needs for supplies, services and equipment are provided.
Treats employees fairly.
Makes suggestions for improvement and seeks the input of staff so that all feel included and they are a valuable part of the team.

Education
H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's Degree preferred

Experience
4 years Hospital materials management - without Bachelor's degree required. Or,4 years Hospital operations with a Bachelor's is required
2 years progressive leadership experience preferred

Skills
Advanced knowledge of Supply Chain Management or Hospital Operations. Basic computer/Excel/Word, etc.
Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management
