Business Continuity Management (BCM) is essential in today's environment. The ability to prepare for and respond to a disruption such as a natural disaster, infrastructure failure, or pandemic is fundamental to our dedication to delivering for our customers and safeguarding our colleagues.

The BCM team is part of the Global Services Group (GSG) at American Express. The team is responsible for evaluating continuity risk, setting short- and long-term program objectives, maintaining relevant standards and procedures, evaluating continuity performance, and adjusting business operations in response to program results and actual disruptions. Our team partners with all business units across American Express to ensure BCM program policy (AEMP05) and standards are met.

This is an Enterprise-wide role and reports to the Director of Business Continuity Management - Reporting & Oversight.

The Manager, Business Continuity Management - Reporting & Oversight, will have several key responsibilities:

  • Create dashboards that provide key program insights and highlight areas of risk through reporting and data visualization.
  • Prepare and analyze reporting for internal and Regulators, Risk Committee Board Members and Executive Leadership stakeholders to show the status of the BCM program.
  • Serve as a liaison and business continuity subject matter expertise to business unit partners, to drive engagement and accountability to ensure successful execution of first line responsibilities within the BCM program framework.
  • Lead any ongoing projects and program enhancements efforts.
  • Synthesize program feedback and enhancements and incorporate it into program standards and guidance.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel and Tableau.
  • Possess AXP organizational awareness and ability to apply knowledge, skillsets, and experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive decision-making.
  • Proven communication skills with an ability to translate data and analytics.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relationship management and a consistent track record of positively collaborating with partners.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with eGRC Archer application.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks, such as FFIEC BCM Handbook or ISO 22301.
  • Demonstrated relationship leadership skills with proven track record to influence without authority.


Qualifications

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
