Job Description:

DHL Group, a leading global logistics company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Risk Manager to join our team. The Contract Risk Manager will be responsible for managing contract risks, ensuring compliance, and mitigating potential liabilities across our organization. This is a key role that will contribute to the overall success of our business by ensuring effective contract management and risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Understand how different business units operate and their strategies and identify and assess any risks that may arise from them.

- Handle contract risk inquiries by identifying complex, time-sensitive, and standard contracts and prioritize them accordingly.

- Review customer agreements to identify risks and propose necessary changes to contractual liability, indemnity, and other provisions.

- Communicate identified risks to business unit stakeholders and provide alternative solutions.

- Assist the business divisions in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) process by reviewing risk exposures for new and renewing contracts.

- Provide written advice to commercial teams to distinguish between business risks and insurable risks. Provide ongoing support to commercial teams to help achieve their business objectives.

- Implement CRM strategies in North America to improve service line presence and enhance the internal customer experience, under the guidance of your line manager.

- Participate in committees and decision-making bodies related to CRM issues, such as deal engagement review committees, when necessary.

- Handle non-customer facing CRM matters as required.

- Collaborate with regional or global claims functions when dealing with specific customer contracts.

- Support the preparation of monthly management reports regarding CRM activities.

- Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

- Strong background and experience in the logistics and/or Supply Chain/Shipping industry, preferably in large companies.

- Minimum 7 years experience in risk assessment/evaluation and/or contract negotiations for major corporates.

- Excellent negotiation and advisory skills.

- Ability to anticipate and explain the impact of risk when there are deviations from standard terms and conditions or when dealing with non-standard logistics activities.

- Experience in presenting professional advice and recommendations to decision-makers, such as vice presidents, presidents, CFOs, or CEOs.

- A proven track record of providing clear and concise management reports on risk issues to a non-technical audience in the transport and logistics industry.

- Knowledge of contract terms and conditions.

- Experience working in large multi-nationals with complex organizational structures.

- Strong business acumen and awareness of risk in commercial deals.
