Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 4 for a remote opportunity in San Antonio, TX.

Remote. If candidate is local, role will be hybrid.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies. Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build. Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization. Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements. Resolves complex technical problems. Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained. Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities. Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods. Documents and communicates producibility best practices. Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring.

o Drawing Signoffs for Propulsion / APU / ECS / Mechanical Systems.
o Assess impact of interiors / wiring / airframe to Environmental Control Systems.
o Research alignment between requirement and drawing.
o Resolve no-bids from Supplier Management, exploring internal build as option.
o Resolving demand conflicts.

Work statement is a non-managerial role, non-leadership role.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
1. MESCI or Manufacturing Execution Software experience.
2. Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management Software (e.g., ENOVIA / CATIA).
3. Proficiency with producibility assessments (e.g., Design for Manufacturing).
4. Proficiency with BOMs (bill of materials), generating demand, etc.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
1. EXCEL proficiency w/ VLOOKUP, managing large data sets.
2. Knowledge of airplane manufacturing processes.

EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
