JOB TITLE/DEPARTMENT: Mechanic III Transportation

REPORTS TO: Shop Supervisor

WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt

PAY GRADE: Aux 9

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Mechanic III-Transportation is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, electronic/engine diagnostics and repairs to District fleet vehicles and equipment to include school buses, white fleet, trailers, light duty equipment, and generators.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: High School graduate or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum of four (4) years auto/heavy truck maintenance and repair experience Ongoing and/or Annual Requirements: Pass and maintain a Texas Department of Public Safety school bus driver physical prior to employment and annually throughout employment Obtain and maintain a CDL class A or B with
