Your Role

Join Atlas Copco as a Mechanical Engineering Team Leader where you will manage an engineering team and oversee the technical aspects of order execution for our engineered to order centrifugal compressors. You will also monitor and improve the team's performance benchmarks which include quality costs, applied hours, project costs, and on-time engineering releases of parts, bill of materials, and documents. As part of the core engineering team, you will report to the Core Engineering Manager and work with other engineering groups, manufacturing and project management. This is a hybrid position located in Voorheesville, NY.

• You will lead all technical aspects of projects which includes:
  • Perform engineering calculations required to ensure the successful operation of our equipment.
  • Dispositioning of QN/QE's and quality related issues.
• You will schedule assigned resources to meet engineering project needs and customer document submittal schedule.
• You will communicate with the Project Manager on any problems that may affect the project cost, quality, or delivery.
• You will coordinate design interfaces with the appropriate Engineering Teams Leader to ensure cohesive design result.
• You will conduct design review meetings to ensure the designs are complete, accurate, and comply with our work instructions. You will consult subject matter experts when needed.
• You will improve the engineering processes to eliminate errors and delays.
• You will perform personnel management responsibilities including coaching, developing, performing yearly performance reviews, providing regular feedback, and initiating corrective actions when needed.
• You will maintain accurate and accessible records that conform to TBI quality procedures.
• You will help resolve manufacturing and field services issues.

To succeed, you will need

• You hold a Bachelor of Science in engineering.
• You have three or more years working in an engineering environment
• You have working knoweldge of centrifugal compressors and technical specifications related to turbomachinery.
• You are willing to travel both domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time.
