We are hiring at Molex! Our Application Tooling team in Bolingbrook is looking for a Mechanical Support Technician. This role is responsible for providing in-house and on-site technical customer support, trouble shooting and training for internal and external customers.

What You Will Do

• This role will provide technical customer support for internal and external customers regarding Application Tooling products, including but not limited to applicators, hand tools and other semi-automated machines.
• Work with our Tooling Support, Production Shop, Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Product Management teams to gain the knowledge required to help our customers.
• Contribute to the Tooling Support Team efforts by providing technical customer support in the form of trouble shooting and resolving customer issues as well as provide appropriate training via email, phone and MS Teams
• Manage the on-going efforts to support issues that require involvement from other groups within APT and other Molex entities.
• Coordinate bringing customers in the Application Tooling facility and performing hands on training.
• Participate and support continuous improvement activities when asked.
• Travel to customer's facilities to help install new tooling, troubleshoot, and train customers on best practices, when required or beneficial to your development.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form to various levels of an organization in a professional manner.
• Ability to train mechanical and technical skills to customer satisfaction

What Will Put You Ahead

• 2+ years' experience as a machine builder, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Machine Building techniques
• Experience in a customer support capacity
