SUMMARY: The Environmental Services Manager will provide leadership, direction, and management oversight for continuous improvement of the standard EVS operating model within the clinics. Creates a highly equipped and engaged Environmental Services team using evidence-based techniques, process, and mission metrics (KPIs) to ensure we provide a clean safe environment. Provides staff leadership, making sound business decisions.

HOURS: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum three (3) years' experience in healthcare environmental services required. Requires up to 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for defining, writing, and maintaining the development of departmental policies and procedures.

2. Evaluates and makes recommendations for environmental hygiene maintenance for new floor coverings, wall coverings, furnishings, and interior finishes prior to purchase.

3. Manages departmental budgets (e.g., capital, projects, supplies, operations). Ensures regulated medical waste is handled, packaged, stored and disposed of in accordance with federal and state regulations, and appropriate documentation is maintained.

4. Ensure that EVS and cleaning staff receives proper orientation, initial training, and ongoing education. Maintain and develop skills level of current employees. Provide written and oral instruction.

5. Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties.

6. Conducts quality assurance checks and manages materials inventory as well as general use of equipment. Evaluate equipment and equipment needs and maintain safe operations.

7. Must have reliable transportation to travel to all clinic locations.

8. Special project work as requested.
