Summary
You will play a key role in specifying, developing, characterizing, and validating motion sensing systems. Familiarity with MEMS sensor technologies such as inertial sensor performance metrics, inertial sensor usage and limitations, and system integration are a major plus!

The Motion Sensing Hardware Team features a collaborative environment with creative, hard-working people and innovative technologies. This team defines and integrates MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes across a variety of Apple products such as iPhones, iPads, Watch, AirPods, Vision Pro, and more. Features we help enable include Fall Detection, Spatial Audio, Optical Image Stabilization, and many others.

Key Qualifications
2+ years of hands-on experience and proven track record in sensing system hardware engineering
Fundamental knowledge and experience in physics, mechanical, electrical, and material science engineering, and manufacturing technology relevant to sensor fabrication
Experience in characterization, and validation of sensing systems that includes theory of operation, signal processing, fabrication, packaging, and design trade-offs
Experience in programming in one or more of the following: C/Python/MATLAB/Swift
Self-driven and curious to engage and solve engineering challenges
Experience with high volume mass production is a plus
Willingness and ability to travel are required

Description

Education & Experience
BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
