40% DNA cloning and amplification using E.coli. Grow and maintain mammalian cell lines. Transfect mammalian cells with experimental biosensors and prepare cells for high-throughput assays.
40% Test compounds on mammalian cell viability using MTT assays in 96 well plates, and acquire data using the spectramax384. Compile data and draft sections for manuscripts related to SERCA HTS and compound effects on cell viability.
20% Analyze data and consult for projects involving circular dichroism and kinetics.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS in biology, chemistry, or related field. Experience with mammalian cell culture, molecular biology techniques, protein expression, and radioligand assays.
