Temporary/Casual Position Available

We seek a highly qualified research assistant to work with Dr. Lauren Martin on a temporary basis.

Job Description (Duties):
  • Support development and execution a community engagement plan.
  • Support with tracking and coordinating the large number of stakeholders that will need to consulted and engaged in this project.
  • Support with IRB application development.
  • Help manage work flow according to the project timeline.
  • Plan meetings.
  • Literature reviews and other support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Program Description:
The research project is a 5-year project to conduct a random control trial (RCT) outcome evaluation of the Not a Number (NAN) prevention program to address sexual
exploitation of youth in Minnesota. The project is funded by a CDC grant to the University of New Hampshire, with the University of Minnesota as a sub awardee. Other
funded partners include the Minnesota Department of Health and Love 146 (NAN creators). In the first two years, the project will engage necessary stakeholders, create
fidelity tools, develop a baseline of NAN implementation in Minnesota, and develop the RCT plan. Rate, Percent Position, Duration of Position: Rate: 22.17 per hour
Work approximately 10 hours a week (flexible depending on availability and project needs)
Position available beginning August 26, 2024 to January 8, 2025.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience with community-engaged research.
  • Experience managing or coordinating stakeholders or volunteers.
  • Detail oriented and responsible.
  • PhD student in a relevant field

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Research coursework at the PhD level
