About this position:

The Johns Hopkins Health System's Office of Nursing Professional Practice is looking for a Med/Surg and Intermediate Care (IMC) Nurse Educator to join their amazing team! The Nursing Practice and Professional Development Specialist (NPPDS) is an RN who influences the professional role competence and professional growth of nurses in a variety of settings. The NPPDS is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and activities for nursing staff using nursing, adult learning and other theories as appropriate. As an educational advisor and learning facilitator to other nursing professional practice program leaders and staff, the NPPDS serves as a leader, innovator, and change agent in the pursuit of improved nursing practice and professional development.

Who Should Apply:
  • Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • Active Maryland or Compact Registered Nurse license is required at time of hire
  • Active BLS CPR certification.
  • 5 years of nursing experience; med/surg and intermediate care (IMC) experience is preferred. Minimum of three years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
