The Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital is a dynamic 36-bed unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with respiratory conditions, cardiac issues, and insulin management needs. Our skilled team is proficient in managing BiPap, CPAP, and various cardiac and insulin drips.


Our unit is distinguished by its diversity and the strong, collaborative relationships among our RNs, who are committed to professional growth and continuous learning. We have dedicated Telemetry Technicians and Respiratory Therapists to ensure specialized and attentive care for our patients. With flexible scheduling options, we support our staff in balancing their professional and personal lives while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
