We have an opportunity for a full time Nurse Practitioner in Montefiore Nyack Hospital's Hematology Oncology department. Please join our collaborative team to provide excellent patient care to our community. The NP would work full time hours, Monday - Friday on the main campus of Montefiore Nyack Hospital, Nyack NY. The NP would provide patient care within the hospital and be a consistent care coordinator through the continuum of care. The department has a clinical team of staff to support the providers. Assures that all patients receive appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medical screening and medical evaluation whenever indicated, and that all medical patient care is appropriately documented in the EPIC medical record. The FJ Borelli Family Emergency Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital offers safe, high-quality emergency care. As a designated Level III Trauma Center, it has proven its ability to provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, surgery, intensive care and stabilization of injured patients. The Center offers a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Unit, an Express Care area for non-life-threatening emergency cases and X-ray rooms outfitted with a CT scanner to expedite patient care.

The hospital's Cardiac Catheterization Lab is led by a team of cardiovascular experts who diagnose and treat heart conditions, such as coronary artery disease, heart valve disease and congestive heart failure, using minimally invasive procedures. Available treatments include pacemaker implantation, stent insertion, removal of blood clots in the lungs and the treatment of heart blockages. This program, a partnership with the Montefiore Health System and Montefiore Einstein, enables us to deliver academic medicine—and the very best care—right here in our community.

The Joint Replacement Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital is a unique and highly specialized facility dedicated to the surgical replacement and repair of hip and knee joints, as well as postsurgical rehabilitation. The Center has received the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for its hip and knee joint replacement programs. It was the first to achieve this distinction in the lower Hudson Valley.

The Jacobs Family Pride Wellness Center , dedicated in April 2022, provides holistic care to LGBTQ+ members of our community. It's the first center of its kind in the Hudson Valley.

The Madlyn Borelli Multiple Sclerosis Center at Montefiore Nyack Hospital is dedicated to helping people with MS live their best lives. Affiliated with Montefiore Einstein, the Center offers a full array of services to address the often complex needs of people with MS.

Montefiore Nyack Hospital is a 391-bed community acute care medical and surgical hospital founded in 1895. In addition to being a member of the Montefiore Health System, the hospital partners with Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine to provide clinical rotations to third-year medical students.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A graduate of a medical NP program.
Experience: Experience as a Nurse Practitioner; in a hospital setting preferred in Oncology.
Licensure: NYS Nurse Practitioner's License and currently registered physician in the State of New York.
Training: Experience using EPIC EMR system preferred.
Other: Qualified for membership with the Medical Staff. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Work effectively as a member of a culturally competent multidisciplinary team, have a thorough understanding of member rights, and knowledge of basic medical practice.
