Under the general direction of the Facilities and Business Management Section Chief (SSMII), this position serves as the Facilities and Business Services Manager of the Business Services Oakland Unit, within the Financial and Business Management Division - Business Management Bureau (FBMD-BMB). Is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing business services activities within the Business Services Oakland Unit. The incumbent is responsible for providing business services support and coordination which includes facilities management, procurement, equipment/asset management, invoice intake, mail and supply services, reprographics, the Emergency Preparedness Program and the Business Continuity Plan. The position provides direct supervision to the Business Services Oakland Unit, and oversees the work and progress in support of FBMD goals. This position requires extensive knowledge of, and ability to apply various laws, rules, policies, and procedures to effectively execute assigned tasks and personally perform difficult and complex business services work.

Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work in a high-rise building
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to walk/stand for up to 8 hours a day.
  • Must be able to travel throughout the State, including overnight stay.
  • Eligible for telework in accordance with CDI's telework policy. Teleworking employees may be required to report to their headquarters office location on designated telework days. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, however other authorized transit subsidies do exist for those who qualify.
