Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two weeks of closing date. This Position may work out of the Santa Fe or Albuquerque office. The NM Department of Information Technology Enterprise Services program provides the State with the information technology fabric that enables agencies to innovate and excel in their specific domains. The goal of the program is to consolidate services previously duplicated within agencies in order to promote cost savings and efficiencies. This is accomplished through the delivery and management of cost effective and efficient information technology infrastructure services, enterprise applications, and other value-added IT services.

Why does the job exist?

Develops strategy, defines, and aligns service portfolio, works with team to design and implement MSDW enterprise cloud
services.
Oversees technical staff, budget, and business alignment and strategic vendor management.
Leads the team to implement Identity Management, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), License Assignments. Oversees agency hybrid and cloud connections to Azure AD
Complete tasks/Assign Admin rights for the following MSDW areas; Billing, Exchange, Groups, Helpdesk, License, Message Center,
Office Apps, Password Admin, Power Platform, Reports, Service Support, SharePoint, Teams and User Administration.

How does it get done?

Ensuring strategic capacity planning;
Managing all or part of the IT Department, including directly supervising some employees, hiring certain members, and handling employee concerns and performance;
Communicating with the technology team and other departments as collaboration requires; Determining business requirements for IT systems;
Coordinating IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary; Overseeing departmental finances, including budgeting and forecasting;
Implementing policies;

All New Mexico state agencies participating in the SoNM Digital Workspace enterprise service.

Ideal Candidate

Experience working with and supporting a large enterprise email or cloud services management
Experience developing strategic plans for technical service
Experience developing and fostering positive relationships with business users of technology services Experience with Governance Risk and Compliance
Experience in following an established business case justification process which involves developing project level of effort costs and time-lines assumptions
The ideal candidate must be an effective communicator to internal and external stakeholders to guide the development and implementation of value-add services consistent with the DoIT's strategic plan based on agency specific needs.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Engineering or similar technical degree and eight (8) years of experience in systems administration. Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive phone and personal computer usage. Ability to be mobile and work between Santa Fe and Albuquerque offices. Office settings in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque offices; direct client interaction and some travel may be required. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
