Position Summary

This position responds to requests for information, assists with open records proceedings, mails consumer publications, and provides administrative assistance to agency operations. This position also helps sort incoming mail and packages, answers the reception desk's phone, files documents, and provides support with our upcoming move by packing/unpacking boxes.

Salary Information

The salary for the Office Operations Associate is $20.02 per hour. Salary will be determined by applicant qualifications and is assigned to pay schedule/range 02-10.

Job Details

Due to the nature of the position, OCI will conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. OCI does not sponsor visas and is not an eligible OPT employer for those with F1 visas. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.

This position is Limited Term Employment (LTE) and is limited to 1,039 hours in 26 consecutive pay periods (1 year).

Wisconsin residency is required for Limited Term Employment positions.

Limited Term Employment (LTE) positions are not civil service classified positions, do not give any rights to permanent civil service classified positions and do not lead to permanent status.

Qualifications

Minimally Qualified candidates will have experience with all the following:
  • Providing administrative support (e.g. filing, receptionist functions, preparing documents, or similar)
  • Providing customer service such as responding to information inquiries from internal and external customers in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Preparing files and boxes for confidential destruction, moving, and/ or additional storage options
