Managed Solutions Team
The Managed Solutions team, which includes Offshore UMA, provides investment products and portfolio management services underpinning Consulting Group's Select UMA platform - the industry-leading Unified Managed Accounts platform with over $500 Billion in assets under management. The team offers a comprehensive, unified approach to asset allocation, manager selection, account management, trading, and overall relationship management to Morgan Stanley's Financial Advisors and their clients.
Position Summary
The Offshore UMA Team manages a one-of-a-kind, integrated investment service that offers personalization, scale, and efficiency of the UMA platform to our International Client Advisors and their Non-US Resident clients. The service allows clients to invest in Offshore Mutual Funds and ETFs traded in Europe, with domestic SMAs and domestic ETFs traded in New York all in the same account through both Firm Models and Custom Allocations. The team works directly with International Client Advisors (ICAs) to identify opportunities in their book, construct portfolios, and is responsible for the ongoing trading & management of the accounts across global exchanges.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist International Client Advisors with asset allocation and manager selection.
- • Manage trade generation across multiple exchanges.
- • Provide continuous oversight and risk management of the account base.
- • Educate International Client Advisors and their clients about the benefits of Offshore UMA and how we can help them grow their practice.
- • Organize and lead meetings with International Client Advisors in support of their UMA business and prospects.
- • Propose, develop, and review new solutions and enhancements to drive flows to the program and propel growth.
- • Participate in continuous education with respect to firm's global investment advice, product research and industry trends
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to drive business growth of the program, engagement and increase awareness of the program capabilities
- Support the broader Managed Solutions business through engagement in sales campaigns and client outreach
- Prepare strategy presentations and conducting business analysis in support of management presentations
- Coordinate process improvements with internal and external partners
Qualifications:
Skills Required:
- • Equivalent to Bachelor's degree with business related coursework. B.S. in Finance, Business Management, or Accounting required
- • Knowledge of financial securities markets, Advisory platforms, programs, and products, as well as legal and regulatory requirements
- • Strong team player who has the ability to envision solutions and work collaboratively to institute business improvements
- • Ability to adapt to a continually changing work environment while managing multiple priorities
- • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms
- • FINRA Series 7 license required and willingness to obtain Series 66 (or 63/65) within 180 days of hire.
- • Portfolio management experience a plus
- • Spanish or Portuguese proficiency a plus
