Responsibilities
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Director of Campaign Operations and Project Management reports to the Associate Vice President for University Advancement and interacts closely with alumni, high-end donors, volunteers, and UR Advancement colleagues to design, manage, and implement a variety of strategic priorities. This includes volunteer programs, special events, stewardship, fundraising initiatives, capital projects, and other activities for the purpose of enhancing and building the experiences of alumni, prospects, donors, and volunteers with the Schools of Arts and Sciences, Hajim School of Engineering, student life, athletics, the College, River Campus Libraries, and regional partners.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $107,224 - $160,846 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities
GENERAL PURPOSE:

This includes volunteer programs, special events, stewardship, fundraising initiatives, capital projects, and other activities for the purpose of enhancing and building the experiences of alumni, prospects, donors, and volunteers with the Schools of Arts and Sciences, Hajim School of Engineering, student life, athletics, the College, River Campus Libraries, and regional partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
- Manages capital campaigns, fundraising priorities and strategic initiatives
- Develop a keen understanding/awareness of the units and their needs to facilitate effective dialogue with prospects, and to train and assist other Advancement colleagues
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop strategic plans for advancement efforts, including fundraising goals, donor engagement strategies, and alumni relations objectives
- Work closely with schools and units including other departments such as marketing and communications to ensure alignment and coordination of advancement efforts with broader organizational objectives
- Collect and analyze data related to fundraising efforts, donor demographics, and alumni engagement metrics to evaluate performance and inform future strategies. Prepare reports for senior leadership and board members to track progress towards goals
- Lead and manage various projects and campaigns within the advancement department, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational priorities.
- Coordinates volunteer management efforts across SAS, Hajim, Parents Program, River Campus Libraries, and Global Leadership
- Manages volunteers including recruitment, 1:1 meetings with deans and advancement partners as needed, conference calls, and additional communications with volunteers from the schools
- Work closely with unit gift officers on the regional cabinet strategy as it relates to campaign volunteer engagement
- Work closely with the units to provide management and staffing support to key councils and boards, current and future. Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement strategies to support member cultivation and an excellent volunteer experience- create calendar with strategic communications plan (monthly, quarterly updates; holiday wishes), work with gift officers and council members to identify new members, track council terms and solicit feedback from council members to create value for program
- Onboard new members - execute clear expectations, schedule of events, etc.
- Manage agendas and follow-up for meetings
- Manage stewardship of members and demonstrate impact of volunteer role through consistent monthly communication, i.e. new member updates, current national and regional growth, "micro-volunteer opportunities"
- Strategize next volunteer opportunity for members rotating off councils or boards
- Establishing and monitoring quality assurance processes to ensure that operational changes meet predefined standards and deliver the desired outcome
- Assist the Associate Vice President of University Advancement and the Assistant Vice President for Regional Advancement with team building activities, quarterly meetings, and annual retreats
- Administrative HR duties in support of the areas of Schools of Arts and Sciences, Hajim School of Engineering, student life, athletics, the College, River Campus Libraries and regional.
- Supervise a limited team within the advancement department, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to help them succeed in their roles.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five years or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various constituent groups, colleagues, volunteers and campus partners.
- Demonstrated ability to work with, motivate, and lead volunteers.
- Ability to gather, condense and synthesize information and ability to provide accurate analysis and summaries.
- Excellent organization, project management, and proofreading skills, with an ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with keen attention to detail.
- Occasional travel; some evening and weekend work
- A personal belief in mission, goals and objectives of private higher education.
