OPERATIONS SUPPORT SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Description

This position is for a Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) subject matter expert. This individual shall independently perform enterprise-level Cisco ISE design, configuration, troubleshooting, and propose enhancements to improve performance. These activities will include resolving escalations from network operations centers, project teams, and customers. Successful candidates will be expected to own and drive resolution of highly complex system and application incidents, as well as to track and complete change management requests.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Mentor network operations engineers
  • Support new technology and product integration
  • Assist with remediation efforts of security vulnerabilities per procedure
  • Review and provide technical analysis on IAR's
  • Create and maintain knowledge articles
  • Analyze platform issues and manage escalations to various organizations
Minimum Qualifications:
  • This individual must possess expert level knowledge of Cisco ISE, with hands on experience with OS, applications support, or networking, including common network security practices, standards and troubleshooting.
  • Candidate must have excellent communications skills and be able to deliver results under pressure.
  • The position will work directly with internal operations teams and occasionally customers, and therefore must have strong customer service skills and the ability to interface successfully with both the customer's technical and non-technical contacts, client account teams, and various other groups involved in the delivery of service to the end customer
  • The successful candidate will be flexible with work hours, as position may be required to work an off-shift or on call.
Basic Skills & Experience
  • Basic knowledge of network routing and switching concepts
  • Minimum of 3 years of networking experience
  • Experience with Cisco ISE configuration and troubleshooting
  • Configure Network Access Devices (NADs), policy components, and basic authentication and authorization policies in Cisco ISE
  • Implement Cisco ISE web authentication and guest services
  • Deploy Cisco ISE profiling, posture and client provisioning services
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT concepts, OS, application support, and network management.
  • Configure device administration using TACACS+ in Cisco ISE.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CCNP
  • SISAS (Implementing Cisco Secure Access Solutions)
  • ITIL
