During the autumn, winter, and spring quarters of the 2023-24 academic year, the Humanities Collegiate Division and the Department of Romance Languages & Literatures may have part-time teaching opportunities in various courses of the French Language curriculum.

Minimum qualifications are a master’s degree or equivalent in French or a related field, superior proficiency in French according to ACTFL guidelines, and at least one year of experience teaching French at the college or post-secondary level. Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. or equivalent in French and/or an advanced degree in second language pedagogy/acquisition.

Responsibilities will include preparing and teaching seminar-style language courses using a highly interactive communicative approach, holding regularly scheduled office hours, and the preparing and grading of assignments and testing materials.

Depending on the curricular needs of the department, the successful candidate may teach between one and four courses per academic year. In 2023-24, the minimum per-course salary is $7,538. This position is not benefits eligible.
