Job Summary
- Assists with a variety of projects for the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, Research, and Creative Activity (ADFARCA).
- Greets and assists all visitors to the Jacobs School of Music (JSoM) Office of the Deans including faculty, staff, students, parents, executive guests, esteemed musicians, and university dignitaries.
- Maintains the ADFARCA's calendar and schedule.
- Assists the members of the Dean's Office with general day-to-day activities and individual projects in support of the Jacobs School of Music.
- Assists with scheduling meetings and coordinating events including organizing and implementing luncheons, receptions, and special events.
- Conducts research on the web or by reaching out to university offices.
- Assists with preparation of documents and correspondence.
- Edits, copies, and prints; answers the main JSoM phone line and responds to email communications.
- Orders and maintains office supplies.
EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)
Required
- Office experience
- Experience with the administration of promotion and tenure
Required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to be responsible, detail oriented, organized and a multi-tasker
- Diplomatic and able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion at all times
