The Patient Service Coordinator III (PSCIII) reports to Practice Manager of the Weight Center at MGH. The PSCIII provides administrative scheduling support to the ambulatory programs in the Weight Center, functioning as the primary interface between the patient and the clinical team.

The PSCIII must be able to work independently to organize priorities, complete tasks, manage confidential patient information, schedule multiple appointment types and liaise between clinical teams and co-collaborators. A successful candidate must be able to work independently, requiring minimal supervision and guidance. Must be comfortable managing multiple tasks and projects, high performer capable of consistent quality work with attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills.

Highly flexible to learn and utilize an evolving electronic medical record system (Epic) and demonstrate high levels of resourcefulness and problem-solving ability. A significant portion of this role involves interactions with staff members, providers, patients, and families, meaning exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are required. The PSC III is a vital member of the Department's administrative team and must have a desire to continuously identify and recommend process improvements for the benefit of the Department.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required. Training is provided.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 2 - 5 years of directly related experience required.
