Your role

You will:

• provide expertise in Bank Payments: USD Clearing, Automated Clearing House (ACH), Real-Time Payments, and Check Clearing (Remote Deposit Capture). National Bank experience preferred.
•build payments risk (non-financial, financial, reputational) frameworks to support the implementation of new payment capabilities
•enhance existing framework on cash management
•analyze and complete process flows for front-to-back process related to all payment types (real time payment, ACH, wire ,etc.)
•lead risk management interaction with key business partners (Credit, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Risk, etc.) and internal auditors/external examiners
•report, communicate status, escalate issues and risks associated with the program to Bank Senior Management
•design/manage/complete risk assessments and all 1st LOD support activities for payments (current state and future)
•assist and lead issue resolution/remediation across functions
•track, report and coordinate closure of identified issues

Your team

This position is for a Payments Business Risk Manager reporting to the Head, Banking Compliance & Business Risk Management. The Business Risk Management Team is responsible for managing all business risk (first line of defense) in partnership with multiple Control areas (second line of defense).

Your expertise

You have:

•at least 10 years of experience with retail banking deposits and cash management
•excellent written and verbal communication skills
•strong negotiation and influence skills
•proven track record of delivering results and meeting targets
•track record of successfully supporting business users with reporting & analytics, decision support, and presentation support
• the ability to interact with all levels of management, multi-task and work well under pressure
•clean regulatory track record
•analytical, consultative and investigative skills and an independent, driven approach
•an understanding of regulatory environment
•preferred work experience in the disciplines outlined above
•organizational and analytical skills with the ability to readily interpret data, including legal and compliance-related materials
•self-confidence, have strong judgment and evidence of sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
• the ability to be comfortable collaborating with diverse constituencies
•proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
