Payroll Analyst

Insight Global is looking for an experienced Payroll Analyst to join the payroll team of one of our clients located in Dallas, TX. Our client is an industry leader in the events and experiences space with over 90 years of continued excellence. Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Business Analyst is responsible for providing research and analysis support to Payroll Operations. This position supports all aspects of enterprise payroll(s) administration as well as other functional areas which help ensure payroll procedures are in compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provides support in funding reconciliations, payroll audits, quarterly processing and regulatory reporting as needed.
• Provides support for payroll and tax processing of semi-monthly and weekly payrolls.
• Creates reports for information pertaining to payroll and time.
• Works with the payroll team for resolution of payroll questions, problems and errors.
• Provides customer support to branches for labor reports and employee data updates.
• Provides support to Post Payroll and Financial teams to improve processes and close gaps.
• Assists with user testing, documentation of test plans, upgrades & new system releases.
• Research/update existing and new paid sick/paid leave laws in all states to ensure compliance.
• Produces ad-hoc payroll reports for internal or external user requests utilizing appropriate software and reporting tools.
• Coordinates with IT, Finance and Human Resources departments as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5 or more years of experience as a payroll professional with strong knowledge of the fundamentals of payroll processing.
• Large company experience with multi-state payroll processing.
• Strong computer skills with intermediate level experience in Excel (VLOOKUPs & Pivot Tables).

• UKG Workforce Central (Kronos) experience.
• Garnishments experience.
• Accounting experience.
• Tax experience using ADP.
