Trinity Industries is looking for a Payroll Analyst for our Dallas, TX office.

The Payroll Processor is responsible for the timely and accurate end to end processing of multi-state weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly and off-cycle payrolls. Responsibilities will include payroll tax reconciliations, research and resolution of payroll issues, testing of system changes and participating in projects with payroll impacts.

What you will do:
  • Ensures all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely, including bank and tax transmissions
  • Analyzes and resolves payroll processing and system issues
  • Reconciles and performs validation of payrolls prior to transmission
  • Escalates critical issues on a timely basis to leadership, and provides recommended solutions
  • Prioritizes work flow to ensure processing deadlines are met
  • Performs quarterly tax reconciliation, performs research related to tax notices and is critical to ensuring that year end processing and reporting completed accurately and timely
  • Understands and complies with payroll controls and maintains supporting documentation in accordance with payroll policies
  • Performs peer reviews and trains new team members
  • Prepares reports for management and other key business partners
  • Participates in projects requiring payroll expertise
  • Tests system changes in conjunction with quarterly Oracle HCM releases
  • Complies with payroll policies, practices and protocols
  • Assists Payroll Sr. Manager with the development and implementation of process best practices
  • Monitors compliance and peer reviews work of others on the payroll team
  • Achievement of established SLA's and KPI's for areas of responsibility (e.g. accurate and timely payroll)
  • Drive cost savings and value to the organization through successful project execution
  • Identifies process improvements and drives execution
  • Promotes a customer driven service model


Qualifications
What you will need:
  • 5-7 years of multi-state, high volume, payroll processing/analysis experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and collaboration skills
  • ADP Smart Compliance and payroll tax experience preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
