CLIENT'S HOURS

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Continue special training in areas designated by the supervisor.
* Meet with each new client to establish a healthy recovery-oriented relationship and continue to support struggling clients in their efforts to stay clean and recover.
* Attend staff training, including hours not scheduled in the regular workweek.
* When on a.m. duty, attend morning groups, seminars and any other Outpatient Program activities.
* Assist clients in understanding the purpose of recovery plans, bio-psycho-social history and evaluations, and keep participant case records current according to the established guidelines.
* Role model pro-social behaviors.
* Ensure collection of weekly urine samples for analysis and document same.
* Attend, participate, and when necessary, help facilitate all special events such as retreats, trips, workshops, etc.
*Attend all staff meetings when applicable.
* Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, be responsible for a partial participant caseload of those participants who are struggling in recovery, relapsing and need personal support and encouragement.
* Facilitate group sessions and document information in a Group Note within 48 hrs. of completion.
* Continue certification training and/or maintain appropriate professional certificates and credentials.
* Support and demonstrate adherence to Divine Light's Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct and all personnel policies and procedures.
* All other duties as described in the Clinical Supervisor, or Lead Counselor

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Minimum of 1 years of experience in D & A Treatment.
* Basic knowledge of the physical and emotional characteristics and manifestations of chemical dependency and/or mental illness.
* Basic knowledge of individual and group behavior and the effective ways of working with them.
* Basic ability to identify the needs of participants and to gain their confidence and cooperation.
* Basic ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, other members or staff, outside agencies, institutions and the general public.
