Summary:

• The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to: Staff Orientation - New Hires Non Nursing1. Provide the required orientation to all new non-nursing staff of Perioperative services ensuring that staff are provided with a comprehensive and consistent instructional course.2. Provides education and support to clinical staff through consistent training methods. Manages the completion of projects from start to finish with team members, often with other disciplines. Incumbent must be self-motivated, concise, accurate, and on time with assignments. The role requires an individual to be flexible, be a clear communicator, to accept ad hoc assignments and to learn new skills quickly. Conducts and develops training sessions for healthcare support staff. Develops written instructions for various educational abilities. Participates in Perioperative Safety Net and Quality Committees and looks to develop Entity and Department-wide initiatives for Patient/Employee safety including education relative to support staff safety including regulatory requirements. Incumbent must utilize multiple teaching techniques and develop educational plans to reach all types of learners.Position Requirements:1. Effective communications skills, verbal and written.2. Proficiency with analyzing large sources of data and data from multiple sources to recognizing trends, issues, 3. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, EPIC, and other software and tools to effectively perform the required tasks and responsibilities of this position in productive manner.4. Education or Equivalent Experience:

• Required Associate's Degree or 5+ years with Equivalent experience with the assigned roles and responsibilities.
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree And 5+ years with Equivalent experience with the assigned roles and responsibilities.
• Relevant roles for previous experience include positions such as anesthesia technician, periop support staff, periop environmental services, instrument processing technician, periop nursing assistant but any Periop experience can be considered.
