Hours: Monday - Friday, 10am - 7pm. Occasional Saturdays may be required depending on business need.

This role is hybrid in San Antonio, TX - you will be required to be in office 6 days per month (will have a schedule of the days needed to be onsite, all other days are remote). You will be required to be onsite Monday - Friday for the first 6 weeks for training, which will be 8:30am - 5:30pm.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within San Antonio, TX as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Receive and respond to escalated pharmacy inquiries from all communication venues: e.g. phone queue, portal, claim queue, department e - mail box or fax
  • Coordinate and assist in administrative preparation for clinical staff
  • Conduct inbound and outbound calls for program requirements including distribution of materials to appropriate clinical personnel or patients
  • Collect and maintain eligibility information in an appropriate and confidential manner
  • Request additional or supplemental information via correspondence in order to complete applications
  • Adhere to assigned schedule and quality metrics
  • Use a multi-lined telephonic system to answer calls regarding eligibility requirements
  • Maintain abreast of program qualifications in order to troubleshoot problems that may arise during the eligibility process
  • Complete calls / assignments and, productivity weekly and monthly standards are met
  • Provide clerical and / or administrative support to clinical staff and managers for special studies, projects and reports
  • Provide excellent customer service by serving as a resource to all internal and external customers
  • Attend required meetings and participates in special committees as needed
  • Ability to work independently, with some supervision and direction from manager
  • Excellent organizational skills, customer service skills, and verbal and written communication skills to include but not limited to patients, physicians, clinical staff, contracted providers and managers

You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role.

This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of administrative support experience
  • 1+ years of experience working with Medical terminology
  • Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of experience in a medical setting
  • Certified Medical Assistant training or certification
  • 2+ years of experience in a physician's clinic or hospital
  • Bilingual language proficiency (English / Spanish)
  • Call Center experience
  • Previous pharmacy experience
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Texas
