Position Summary
The Pharmacy Tech 2 (certified) is responsible for assisting the Pharmacist in delivery of comprehensive pharmaceutical care under the supervision of the Pharmacist according to federal and Oregon state laws and department regulations.

As a Pharmacy Tech at Asante, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Enhance the overall patient experience by gathering information, preparing, and delivering medication in an accurate and timely manner
  • Work with a Pharmacy Team to creatively problem solve and provide feedback on processes, mentor, or train staff
  • Grow your knowledge and skills in the out-patient or in-hospital setting
Qualifications
Education
  • High School diploma GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required
  • Pharmacy Technician Community College course work, preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacy related experience, or equivalent education and experience, is required
  • 3 years or more years of similar job experience, preferred
Licensure/Certifications
  • CPhT: Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy - OR - PI: Certified Oregon Pharmacy Intern by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy, is required upon start
One of the following also required :
  • CPT or ExCPT: Certified Pharmacy Technician by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
Skills & Abilities
  • General knowledge and understanding of the Oregon Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Ability to prioritize multiple functions and to handle stress of busy daily operations
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Manual dexterity
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to represent departments to the public and internal customers
  • Good computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets; 10-Key proficiency; typing at 40 wpm, preferred
  • General knowledge and understanding of DNV standards, preferred
