Under the direction of the Phlebotomy Managerand the Operations Manager, the Phlebotomy Team Leader is responsible for coordinatingthe efforts of assigned off-shift, off-site, or weekend phlebotomy operations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • ASCP certification or certification within thefirst year of employment. Knowledge of Medical terminology. Ability toeffectively deal with a wide range of personalities, technical and supportstaff. Ability to handle several processes concurrently


  • Requires 3 years of phlebotomy experience and demonstrated proficiency in the phlebotomy field. Computer skills and ability to delegate and direct staff in their job duties.


  • Requires completion of High Schoolor Equivalent, and Certificate of completion in Phlebotomy or Medical Assistingor a phlebotomy course as part of an Associate or Bachelor Degree program suchas nursing.


  • Phlebotomy ASCPCertification. AValid and Current Driver's License, and clean driver's record per NSMC policy,which will be reviewed annually during employee's employment.


Minimum 3 years pediatricexperience preferred.
