JOB SUMMARY:

Procures necessary parts, materials, and outside services necessary to effectively plan the successful completion of the Equipment Technician's preventative maintenance as well as performing venue project planning and scheduling. Manages all documentation related to parts procurement, preventative maintenance programs, and parts inventory and warranty.

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the preventative maintenance and overall job planning for respective work areas. Procures necessary parts, materials, and outside services necessary to effectively plan the successful completion of the Equipment Technician's preventative maintenance as well as performing venue project planning and scheduling. Manages all documentation related to parts procurement, preventative maintenance programs, and parts inventory and warranty.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees preventative maintenance by ensuring proper frequency and target completion to facilitate operational schedules. Works closely with the Equipment Tech management team in planning projects to include, providing a detailed scope of work, maintaining written procedures, accurately estimating time of completion, and allocating materials and resources needed for all project repair work. Kits all parts for various jobs and stages materials/equipment in preparation for completion of work.
- Parts/Service procurement to include comparative shopping for materials and parts as well as bids for parts and services on an as needed or emergency basis. Oversees equipment rentals for equipment including golf carts and forklifts. Enter Discretionary Work Requests and create work orders for interdepartmental fabrication and/or services. Purchase and maintain utilities tooling as required. Completes all necessary documentation, requests, and justification for purchasing items
- Control and maintain warranty and contact information for equipment. Responsible for communication of warranty issues and successful completion of any issue during warranty period. Meet and greet Warranty Technicians as they arrive and sign off on all warranty work completed. Ensure all warranty information is entered and updated in Maximo on an ongoing basis. (i.e. Model, Serial Number, Warranty information, Asset number, location, etc.).
- Organize project planning by serving as liaison between vendors and the venues for Equipment Tech's repairs and enhancements to all Industrial, commercial, noncommercial Restaurant and laundry equipment park-wide. Coordinate work schedule to accommodate both vendor and venue availability and assure all tooling and parts are available for project completion. Write contracts and SOW for projects and coordinate vendor access to the respective venues. Stages all materials/equipment for work activities within area of responsibility.
- Assist Universal Tool and Parts Crib with inventory regulation by managing critical spare parts list and establishing and maintaining accurate min/max counts. Manage broken parts incoming and outgoing, ensuring lead times are maintained and all issues are resolved. Partner with UO Crib to identify and control part obsolescence and shortages. Focus on overall inventory control reduction
- Manage calibration requirements on all precision equipment and assure support equipment is readily available. Maintain regulatory compliance by ensuring all chemicals are in EHS SDS Database.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED is required.
- Associate's degree or Technical school is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of working in related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ years' experience in theme park maintenance preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Support all Universal Orlando owned food service venues and facilities in the repair and maintenance, procurement and operation of the restaurant and related equipment.
- Plan, schedule, procure and oversee necessary resources needed for successful completion of maintenance for said restaurant equipment and the restaurant equipment preventative maintenance program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent Time Management and Organizational skills to assist with multiple projects at a time
