Hennepin Healthcare has a full-time opening for a Practice Manager I at our clinic in Richfield, MN.

SUMMARY

The Practice Manager 1 Community Clinic is responsible for managing the operational and administrative functions, activities, and projects of a community based ambulatory clinic in partnership with the assigned Medical Director and directly reports to the Administrative Director. Manages clinic performance to improve quality of patient care and service, as well as employee and provider satisfaction. Accountable for clinic performance to improve quality, efficient and effective patient flow within the practice, budgeting, and long-term planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Actively manages team members and daily clinic operations by directly observing team members and clinic processes, using those observations to train team members, drive accountability, and recognize opportunities for improvement
  • As the major interface between team members and management in the clinic, proactively identifies barriers to achievement and partners with all parties to develop improvement plans
  • Works towards achieving superior levels of patient satisfaction and quality ratings
  • Utilizes independent judgement to develop and operate clinic site(s), in accordance with best practices.
  • Interprets and enforces departmental and hospital policies and procedures, as well as all applicable regulatory standards
  • Develops and oversees the implementation of annual plans and budget with Administrative and Medical Director (manages expenses and volume) as they relate to clinical services
  • Works with Providers to improve access and service quality through the promotion of clinic efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provides support for Providers in resolving problems, planning new services, and addressing issues so that they can effectively practice medicine
  • Builds and maintains active community relationships
  • Other functions as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or health-related profession
  • Two years of progressive experience managing a physician office practice or ambulatory care setting
OR
  • Completion of a post master's healthcare administrative fellowship
OR
  • An approved equivalent combination of education and experience (a combination of education and relevant experience to total at least five years)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's in a healthcare related field or business
  • Three or more years of experience managing clinics with highly diverse patient populations
Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant corporate compliance laws, healthcare regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Ability to drive results and implement plans
