JOB DESCRIPTION

The Pricing Analyst I is responsible for developing, managing, and analyzing pricing strategies for fuel and non-fuel products. This role involves building and distributing weekly pricing across various customer segments, implementing customer contracts, and designing new pricing methodologies. The Pricing Analyst I ensures seamless integration of acquisitions into pricing systems, monitors program effectiveness, and drives process improvements. Acting as a liaison between finance, marketing, and IT, they also manage sales system workflows, resolve complex billing issues, and support the maintenance of internal controls. Additional duties include proactive identification of pricing variables and the completion of assigned projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build, load, and distribute weekly fuel pricing including retail cost, military, fuel reseller, customer, and other fuel pricing as required.
  • Maintain pricing relating to non-fuel products including customer specific rates and discounts as required.
  • Implement customer contracts within relevant pricing systems.
  • Design and implement new pricing programs and methodologies within the pricing systems.
  • Integration of acquisitions into pricing systems.
  • Analysis on program effectiveness
  • Develop process improvements related to system enhancements and other general pricing responsibilities.
  • Pro-actively identify variables that have the potential to impact pricing
  • Implement processes and workflows for sales systems and contract administration.
  • Act as liaison between finance, marketing and IT department on sales and pricing administration.
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of internal controls for sales systems.
  • Manage research and analytics on complex transactions related to customer billing issues.
  • Accomplish related projects and tasks as assigned or requested


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
  • At least 1 year of related experience preferred


Additional knowledge and skills:

  • Must have understanding of accounting and auditing concepts.
  • Analytical, organized, and detail oriented
  • Business Process Improvement skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot table and lookup
  • Knowledge of Pega or PROS beneficial
  • Database query ability
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
