BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

You define requirements and develop solutions for system design and configuration. You possess an in-depth knowledge of automation tools for internal networks and how to work with design teams to integrate them into our toolset. You objectively summarize and analyze projects and make recommendations. You collaborate with teams in person and digitally within an office environment.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
  • Design, monitor, enhance and troubleshoot systems in an assigned area.
  • Improve logic difficulties and documentation through a detailed analysis and revision of existing programs.
  • Ensure that all technical integration, changes, standards and documentation is accurate through technical support.
  • Mentor and guide technical teams and test and review work plans and system design.
  • Mitigate risks by adhering to industry-specific local, state and federal regulations.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM ENTERPRISE

Required qualifications
  • Experience: Five or more years of hands-on engineering and project management work experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Technical skills: Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, fiber, multi-mode, single-mode, UTP cable, bridging, switching, routing, Ethernet and transport technologies and protocols; Understanding of network design, network architecture, protocols, network topology, TCP/IP and the OSI model; Familiar with ticketing and software tools, network devices and network appliances; Proficient in network designing software and Microsoft Office.
  • Skills: English communication skills.
  • Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn new technology quickly.


Preferred qualifications
  • Knowledge of company products and services.
  • Expert level knowledge and experience of Network Engineering.
  • Expert understanding of IP routing concepts and IP routing protocol implementation (BGP, OSPF, ISIS).
  • Expert understanding of MPLS design and implementation fundamentals.
  • Expert understanding of Fiber Optic Transmission properties in a WDM environment.
  • Experience with link utilization capacity monitoring and augments.
  • Experience creating High Level Designs or other network drawings.
  • Experience with planning and initiating network initiatives.
  • Experience creating budgets for network deployments.
  • Experience developing data-based reports for decision-making.
  • Experience with creating and presenting reporting to executive leadership.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Pandas, Tableau, or other data analysis tools.
  • Industry Recognized Network Certifications (Juniper, Cisco, Nokia).
