Summary:

Serve as point of contact for Configuration Data Management (CDM) and Computer-Aided Design & Drafting (CADD), using Windchill and Creo Parametric platforms, for various activities in support multiple system level technical data packages and programs. Develops, and administers CDM and CADD administration policies and procedures for maintaining unique contract requirements. CDM disciplines are performed on both production and research and development programs and services.

Responsibilities
  • Applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies
  • Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems
  • Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects
  • Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field and manages projects
  • Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in general Engineering or specialized Engineering
  • 8-10 years experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology or Chemical Engineering
  • Experience within the defense industry
  • Experience in energetic materials field
  • Strong engineering skills and understanding of the design and composition of most existing products and engineering/business processes and principles
  • Experience in Configuration Management including Windchill , revision control, and change notice process flows
  • Certification in Configuration and Data Management
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of concepts, principles, practices and procedures of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments
  • Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interface
  • Knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software; Project Management software and Manufacturing software
  • Strong written, digital and verbal communication skills in both an individual and team environment
  • Looks for ways to improve and promote quality
  • Must be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to reprioritize on the fly

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery
Other Requirements:
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 tools
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of time, with d omestic travel possible (1 to 3 trips per year)
  • Proficiency in 3-Diminsional Modeling and Drawing in Creo
  • Proficiency as Windchill Administrator
