Insight Global is looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to sit in either St. Petersburg, Fl. This person will be responsible with the architecture and design development of large scale projects related to data center racks, electrical vehicle charges, and energy storage systems. He/she will help drive the development and maintain processes and methods for product and technology architecture development & documentation, mechanical system design & documentation, and requirements engineering. He/she will also guide and oversee the development of mechanical system component requirements, interfaces, and specifications necessary to maintain the consistency and integrity of the product developments.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
At least 15 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role
Packaging experience (developing electronic enclosures)
Experience leading the Architectural design of a product and the design reviews
Architectural experience: developing projects in state-gate process (PLCQ), develop mechanical design reviews, develop mechanical requirements, define product realization proposals, system specifications, PRD, MRD, test plans, and integration plans
5+ years of experience within large scale electronic products: electrical vehicle chargers, energy storage systems, data center racks, battery boxes, industrial machines, locomotives, capital equipment, etc.
In-depth knowledge and use of key development tools and design standards: 3D CAD, Finite Element Analysis, Tolerances, Advanced Manufacturing Principles, and Interference Checks.
Develop projects in a stage-gate process (PLCQ)
Strong knowledge of developing high-complexity projects that have required multiple Mechanical Engineering Design specializations or competencies: Tolerance Analysis, DFM, and Serviceability.
