SUMMARY
Provide financial planning, analysis, and decision support services to drive business results for a moderately complex organization. Manage the development of recommendations for shareholder value creating business opportunities to assist the organization in achieving short- and long-range financial plans. Develop proposals for corrective action plans based on sound analysis of key business issues. Work closely with the other Finance Managers to ensure consistency of policies, procedures, planning, reporting and analysis.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Initiate process and profit-improving financial, business, and cost analysis projects based on an in-depth understanding of the business and end-use customer needs. Perform plan reviews and special analysis including reviewing proposals for major expenditures and their economic justification. Present results and opportunity analysis to senior management.
• Help develop the financial savvy of non-finance senior management through presentations and ongoing coaching on key business drivers and performance indicators.
• Prioritize value-added activities versus on-going information maintenance and balance these with available resources. Review all maintenance items and develop methods for simplifying or eliminating unnecessary tasks. Prioritize work requirements and allocate resources across the department.
• Coordinate and act as liaison between business teams and finance in developing policies and processes to ensure consistency of accounting, analysis and reporting.
• Participate in the formulation of the organizations' near term and long-range goals and objectives. Develop measures of progress towards goals.
• Lead strategic financial planning process and preparation of annual financial plan.
• Coordinate the flow of financial information between key managers and senior management to support the forecasting and budget development processes. Act as focal point and liaison for accurate and timely forecasting of financial results.
• Determine customer requirements for decision support and manage or perform insightful and thorough business analysis for all key issues for review by senior management. Analyze significant variances from planned or forecasted results in order to provide interpretive comments and recommendations to management.
• Assist the organization in developing, measuring and reporting on Key Performance Indicators.
• Support software development/implementation and improvements.
• Select, supervise, coach and develop financial analysis professionals.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional process improvement or problem-solving team
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• MBA, CMA, CPA or equivalent is desired, a minimum of seven years related experience with increasing levels of responsibility. A four-year accounting degree is highly desired.
• Previous supervisory experience is desirable.
• An effective communicator with both financial and non-financial managers.
• Detail-orientated, but able to think broadly to translate strategies into operational objectives and projects and bring them to closure.
• Good presentation skills and demonstrated strategic thinking skills.
• Strong financial planning and analysis experience preferred.
• Desire to develop teams and finance associates.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
