The Defense sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Principal IT Support Specialist to work in our Leidos Dynetics office in Huntsville, AL. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping multiple programs.

The candidate will contribute to the effort focused on providing design, implementation, and operations support for existing and new networks and systems for Leidos Dynetics programs. Candidate will be required to support multiple tasks in parallel, productively contribute in and lead team engagements, and communicate effectively to management, coworkers, and customers. This position is responsible for identifying, tracking, escalating, and facilitating resolution of issues and risks, status reporting, and ensuring on time and on budget completion of tasks. Candidate must show willingness to expand technical expertise to increase the impact of contributions across the team and client mission.

Primary Responsibilities

Candidate will be responsible for providing IT support to existing infrastructure and contributing to the designing of solutions that address program needs while meeting Cybersecurity requirements. Candidate will then lead the implementation, operations, and maintenance of approved solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree and 8-12 years of experience OR
• Masters Degree and 6-10 years of experience
• Candidate must have at least 6 years experience, preferably in systems administration.
• Strong understanding of networking and systems administration standards and technologies
• Experience in building and maintaining WSUS and MCM (Formerly SCCM)
• Candidate must also comply with the experience, training, and certification requirements IAW DoD 8570.01 IAT level II or IAM level III.
• Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and NIST security controls
• Experience implementing STIGs and providing feedback to system owners for POAM updates.
• Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Pay Range: Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
