The Retail Pricing team prices everything shipped and sold by Amazon, worldwide and cross-format. Our goal is to earn long term customer trust by offering the best prices to customers, across hundreds of millions of prices everyday.

In this role, you will seamlessly transition from being the visionary leader securing organizational alignment on strategic initiatives to delivering new high-performance, fault-tolerant capabilities that improve our prices without human intervention.
Key job responsibilities
As an ideal candidate, you make data driven decisions and have experience productionizing ML solutions. You have a passion to understand the interplay of our different pricing strategies to fuel scale and automation. You are responsible for defining and driving our product roadmaps. You will work with in-house scientists, retail organizations, data-engineers and software teams to identify new features and projects. As our lead product strategist, you must analyze the potential customer and financial implications, select the most promising ideas, prioritize them and create a cohesive roadmap. You will also evangelize new features to our clients, working to accelerate their adoption, track the impacts, and communicate results with senior leaders.
This is a highly visible position. You must have the experience and capability to prepare documentation for senior executives and align your roadmap with Amazon's strategic objectives. Excellent written, verbal communication and data analytical skills are a necessity. Successful candidates should thrive in a highly collaborative, creative, analytical, and fast-paced environment oriented around delivering better prices to customers worldwide.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
- Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering
- Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
